When I get asked what defines something as being creative or otherwise, I often say, ‘it’s something that’s different; something that’s not been seen before; a new way of thinking, talking, singing or communicating an idea.’ One of my favourite poets, Robert Frost, had a much more eloquent way of putting it and although there are many different interpretations of this work, for me it’s all about individuality. Here’s the last verse of his poem, “The Road Not Taken”.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
