We decided to have a bit of fun with this year’s Corporate Responsibility and run an illustration competition and a set of technical masterclasses for young adults. Through our membership of Arts & Business NI, we have been partnered with Ulster University Belfast, who have decided to make the competition part of the course for second and third year graphic design students.
Over seventy students will enter with the hope of winning the grand prize of £1,000. Other prizes include 2nd place £600, 3rd place £400 and a summer internship with our creative team. The winners will be announced and prizes awarded on 20th January 2016 at the Allianz Arts & Business Awards in the Grand Opera House.
The work will be displayed on our website, where members of the public will have their chance to say which piece they like best and also in our offices on Bedford street. Keep an eye on our site for updates and dates of the viewings.
We met with Bruce Ingham and Christine Blaney (pictured above) to brief the students on Wednesday morning. The brief can be found here. We are really excited to see how the students handle the brief and can’t wait to see the end results.
