“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”

Albert Einstein

In this quotation Einstein is likening imagination to a journey that you can be taken on. With you as the avid explorer it can help you find what is new, what is better and what is next. Sony perhaps inspired by Einstein’s famous words and the man himself have used their imagination to explore what may have instigated previous events.

In Sony’s new ad campaign for the Cybershot camera, ‘Stories are better Panoramic’ is their claim and they use two very famous historical characters to showcase it. Sony has ingeniously incorporated their new Sweep Panorama feature to complete the stories around two pictures of Albert Einstein and Marilyn Monroe

Why did Einstein stick out his tongue in that iconic photograph? Why was Marilyn Monroe flashing that sexy smile? Well now Sony has offered, albeit fictional, an explanation and if you decide to use your imagination (and possibly a Sony Cybershot camera) you can explore the story behind the picture.

I thought this was very clever and pretty funny too, check both ads out below. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
